so billy’s second part of his artist’s statement is the “what” of his art. billy as an outsider creates narratives in the big sculptures. for examples in trump totem there a three stories/themes …first and most obvious is the embedded in the basket of the red states that shows in detail the deplorables being pushed through the labyrinth by the minotaur (idea appropriated from minoan myth). billy thought this theme was especially telling of the life and times of the trumpster and his followers as once in the labyrinth the victims are eaten by the minotaur and they are trapped unable to ever escape their doom and unaware of it until it is too late i.e. trump will eventually eat the deplorables as in anti-vac and buy into the big lie (see the boy scout badge appropriated from goya’s ‘saturn eating his sons’). the other two narratives depict the tragedy of trump as caused by his father fred and his disgusting depraved slavish devotion to his ‘cub’ master putin WITH HOMOSEXUAL UNDERTONES AND OVERTONES ( i.e. the russian bear and his cub …hehehee! but fyi billy has no problem with people’s sexual identities in fact his therapist is gay but poor billy is shocked when he goes to pee and sees high heels in the stall but hey it is AUSTIN (billy put this in caps cause austin is a hot destination and billy desperately hopes his nearness will add to his coolness and allure and every one wants to live there including that musk character but poor billy lives in sun city texas a huge retirement community in georgetown which is about 20 north but is just as “weird” as austin and the few that visit the studio are shocked when poor billy tells them where to come to see his art fully expecting billy in a walker or one of those little scooters and mouth breather) . tomorrow billy for yur edification will explicate these. billy does not like much to “tell” about his creations but invites you to “see” his creations…so…
